Living World
Regions, dangers, quests, expeditions, and story arcs continue to evolve around the people moving through them.
A persistent VRChat roleplay world
The world survived its rebirth. It did not survive unchanged. Step into a living story where the wounds in reality, the choices of its people, and the consequences of every expedition continue to shape what comes next.
The Experience
Stories of Yggdrasil is an immersive, story-driven fantasy roleplay built for VRChat. Players enter a shared world shaped by character choices, alliances, rivalries, exploration, and the decisions made when there is no perfect answer.
Dungeon Masters guide the larger narrative, but the world is not a stage that resets after each session. Characters continue to grow. Equipment, injuries, curses, discoveries, and relationships carry forward — giving every journey history and weight.
Regions, dangers, quests, expeditions, and story arcs continue to evolve around the people moving through them.
Progression and consequences carry beyond a single event rather than vanishing when the lobby closes.
Decisions can alter relationships, encounters, routes, and the shape of later stories.
Your character is part of a larger history written collaboratively by players and Dungeon Masters.
Built for the Journey
Combat, travel, gathering, progression, and exploration are connected to the same persistent character rather than treated as separate minigames.
Coordinate with allies in tactical encounters where timing, positioning, defenses, status effects, and resource management all matter.
Build characters through class identities, equipment permissions, Magicks, Technicks, augments, and long-term progression.
Travel through dangerous regions, unstable realities, dungeons, and expeditions where leaving safely can matter as much as winning.
Mine, fish, log, salvage, and gather resources across the world, then turn discoveries into useful equipment and supplies.
Health, equipment, effects, curses, inventory, and other character states follow the player through the wider experience.
Failure can cost resources, opportunities, relationships, lives, or access to what comes next. Victories become part of history.
Your Character, Between Events
Use the Player Panel to follow the character you bring into Stories of Yggdrasil — not just while combat is active, but before the session starts and after the story moves on.

“Rebirth did not heal the world. It only gave every buried wound somewhere new to open.”
The old world is gone, but what replaced it is not a clean beginning. Kingdoms, survivors, and powers once separated by distance or history now occupy the same uneasy reality. The rebuilt world carries scars that no one fully understands — and every new discovery raises another question about what was lost during the rebirth.
The Shattered Reality is no longer a distant anomaly. Fractures in space, time, and memory have become places adventurers can enter — and sometimes fail to leave. Corrupted lands, unstable materials, and things that should not exist continue to bleed into the world from beyond its edges.
Below the surface, the Seven Hells are no longer myth or metaphor. Their influence is spreading upward as demonic forces, corrupted territories, and old bargains begin to matter again. Nhal Vareth stands among the dangerous frontiers where Chaos and the forces beneath the world are becoming harder to ignore.
There is no single chosen hero waiting to fix what remains. The next chapter belongs to the people willing to cross the frontier, enter the broken places, challenge what is rising, and live with what follows. Every expedition, alliance, betrayal, victory, and loss adds another line to the chronicle.
When We Play
Sessions typically run 3–4 hours, with events announced through Discord. Pre-lobbies usually open around 30 minutes before start time.
